Well….what a sweet little….Person!
Zeke’s past is coming into light and we are about half way done with this chapter already Pact Keepers! And next we will be premiering a WHOLE NEW SERIES!
This one was teased a few months back with a mini comic and it will be a real treat for all you Digimon and Pokemon fans as well as fans of MMO gaming!

Many of know Guild Tomes was our first comic series, the story of a kind Young Paladin and his life as an adventurer seeking relics of an ancient Warrior Saint but finds himself called to save his family and country from a goblin raiding incursion.
A few long years ago Pact Comics suffered a pretty crippling blow when we lost many of our files and first website and we had to start over and rebuild and as such Guild Tomes has been in limbo ever since then for the most part.
But God has been pulling my attention back to our first story and its got me thinking what might be next for it; I’ve considered recreating it in the form of a Christian fantasy book series, A graphic novel and even return it in an updated web comic form from the the old low quality scans I’ve managed to gather back together from old archives.
So if your an old reader who remembers the story or a new reader interest in getting a Christian fantasy series in one way shape or form please leave a comment with what you would like to see and I’ll take it into consideration as I move forward!

We can all relate to Debby here in this section I think.
As humans we have a need to make sense and logically comb through I deepest thoughts and beliefs, its in fact one of the best things we can do because by questioning our beliefs and digging deeper we show we desire a deeper understanding of God and the truths he hides from the proud and fearful and reveals to the humble of heart.
The second part is it helps us give a gentle answer for our faith so when we meet someone who questions us like Debby was we are not caught off guard and can humble give answer or confidently stand knowing that even if we don’t have the answer now, we will one day if we do not give or or draw back from the challenge!

The Debbie vs Paula arc is officially here!
Gerry Lee has made a lot of enjoyable comics but this stint in Edge of the Flock is my personal favorites, Paula is such a well constructed, funny and relatable antagonist in this arc and thats always important in writing to make things compelling!

Hey Pact Keepers, the story rolls on as Zeke tries to blow off some steam after his run in with the phantom dragon from his dreams.
A quick word for our younger readers up to this point, it can be frustrating and hard to submit to an authority figure, especially one that is not gentle in their guidance but it is better to practice meekness and patience to get what you can out of their guidance so long as it isn’t harmful to your well being physically or mentally.
Just because we don’t like how they do things, even if it humbles, frustrates or challenges us you are far better learning and growing from experience of others then tripping along the way and learning it the harder longer way.

Hello Pact Keepers.
I’m sure you have read the verse above before, if not I’m sure its pretty clear to understand, as our enemy the Devil clearly wishes to see us devoured by the sin and violence of this world a roaming lion is fitting imagery, but lets consider these words a little more before we move on with it.
The enemy our our souls will use many means to cut us off from God, its what lions do, the don’t go for the biggest, strongest well backed members of a herd, predators will always focus down on the prey that is the most vulnerable if they can and will try to cut a member of the ehrd off from the others so it is easily brought down.
When we are beset upon by dark forces it can com in many forms; Anger, Fear, Depression, Anxiety, Domestic troubles, Financial issues, Grief and more and these are the lion’s roar, these things are used to try and separate us from safety, from the closeness of God that keeps us safe. These things and more cause us stress and discomfort and when that sets in we become uneasy and begin looking for reasons to fix it or question why its happening.
We as believers know for certain that God is in control of all things…So doesn’t that mean he should have been there to block this from happening? Isn’t God pay attention, why is he letting me be harassed and letting this go on? We are unnerved and begin to question the safety of the one supposedly protecting us and we panic and leave our defender making a mad dash for safety…
…Just like the lion wanted.
When the pains and stress of life sets in Pact Keepers its so easy to blame God and wander away but once we do we are playing right into the enemy’s hands.
It is never easy to suffer but when the lion roars we must hold our ground and hold to the place of safety we have found, God will not forsake us but if we leave his side he cannot force himself on us to protect us as we actively deny he is a place of safety.
As it says….
When the lion roars rather then question or get angry at God we need to lean into him, there was never a promise that trials would not come but there are many that promise a better future for the children of God and we must believe that God cam, will and wants to save us from the lion looking to cut us off Pact Keepers.
So stay vigilant, stay sober minded and hold to God when the enemy is at the door, its hard but is our strong tower and impervious shield, if you start to run away just remember you can and must run back to the safety of God’s fold as soon as possible.
